Learn how to manage your credits, view usage history, purchase additional credits, and redeem promo codes in LISA.

What are Credits?

Credits are the currency used in LISA to perform smart contract scans. Each scan consumes credits based on the complexity and size of your smart contract code. Credits ensure fair usage of computational resources and help maintain the quality of service for all users.

Viewing Your Credits

Current Credit Balance

Your current credit balance is always visible in the top-right corner of the interface. Look for the "Credit Status" indicator which shows:

  • Your current available credits
  • A visual indicator of your credit level

Credit History

To view your detailed credit history:

  1. Click on the "Credit Status" dropdown in the top-right corner
  2. Select "View Credit History" from the menu
  3. You'll see a complete log of all credit transactions including:
    • Date and time of each transaction
    • Transaction type (purchase, scan usage, refund, promo code redemption, etc.)
    • Amount of credits added or used

Purchasing Credits

For Pro Users

Pro users receive monthly credit allocations as part of their subscription:

  • Pro Plan: Monthly credits included in subscription
  • Top-up credits: Available for purchase when you need extra credits

For Free Users

Free users receive one-time starter credits and can purchase additional credits as needed.

How to Buy Credits

  1. Click on the "Credit Status" dropdown in the top-right corner
  2. Select "Buy Credits" from the menu
  3. Choose your desired credit package
  4. Complete the secure payment process
  5. Credits are added to your account immediately upon successful payment

Get more credits by referring a friend!

You can get more credits by referring a friend to LISA. When your friend signs up using your referral link, you both will receive credits as rewards. For details, see the docs about Referral System.

Redeeming Promo Codes

LISA occasionally offers promo codes that provide free credits. Here's how to redeem them:

How to Redeem a Promo Code

  1. Navigate to your account settings / credit management section
  2. Click on the "Redeem Credits" button
  3. Enter your promo code (case-insensitive)
  4. Click "Redeem" to apply the credits to your account

Promo Code Rules

  • One-time use: Each promo code can only be redeemed once per user
  • Expiration dates: Promo codes may have expiration dates
  • Usage limits: Some promo codes have a limited number of total redemptions
  • Valid codes only: Expired or invalid codes cannot be redeemed

Credit Transaction Types

Your credit history may show different transaction types:

  • Purchase: Credits bought through payment
  • Spend: Credits used for scans
  • Starter: One-time starter credits for new users
  • Promo Code: Credits added via promo code redemption
  • Refund: Credits returned (e.g., if a scan fails)
  • Adjustment: Manual adjustments (typically for support issues)

Free (Starter) Plan

  • One-time starter credits when you sign up
  • Shared scanning instance with rate limiting
  • Public scan sessions only
  • 7-day session history

Pro Plan

  • Monthly credit allocation renewed each billing cycle
  • Prioritized scanning with high throughput
  • Private scan sessions available
  • Unlimited session history
  • Multi-file scan support

Best Practices

  • Monitor usage: Keep track of your credit consumption patterns
  • Plan ahead: Purchase credits before running large scan batches
  • Optimize scans: Remove unnecessary code or comments to reduce line count

Can I get a refund for unused credits?

Credits are tied to individual accounts and cannot be transferred.

What happens if a scan fails?

If a scan fails due to technical issues on our end, the credits will not be deducted. If you believe you should receive a refund, contact support.
